FMM Educational Field Trip at Siam Square Area
Bangkok, April 20 – Raffles students from the Fashion Marketing and Management (FMM) programme recently embarked on a special field trip to the Siam Square area. The educational field trip was part of an Introduction to Brand Management class, taught by lecturer Chanida Kanmuang. The goal was to give students hands-on experience with fashion brands and prepare them for their class presentations.
For this assignment, each student had to choose one fashion brand and create a slideshow report. The report included the brand’s story, identity, market segmentation, and positioning, as well as a conclusion and references. By visiting real stores, students could connect what they learned in class with real business practice and enjoy a valuable field trip opportunity.
Students were excited about the trip and enjoyed visiting different stores, as many of them chose luxury brand stores they had never entered before. They showed courage by talking with staff, asking questions, and learning more about how each brand operates. This gave them valuable experience in communication and brand research.
This educational field trip gave students confidence and inspiration for their future in fashion. By experiencing real examples and speaking with staff, they gained a deeper understanding of how brands build their image and position themselves in the market. Raffles International College is a college where such experience can be gained, and we will continue to guide our students’ dreams toward the fashion industry.
