New Student Orientation Day: A Warm Welcome at Raffles

Samut Prakan, April 10 – Raffles International College recently hosted the New Student Orientation Day, welcoming fresh faces into the community. The event was designed to help students settle smoothly into their studying abroad journey, offering both practical guidance and a warm atmosphere. From the very first moment, staff and lecturers greeted everyone with genuine care, setting the tone for a positive journey ahead.

The orientation featured insightful sessions, including Mike Vancoillie, the FMM Programme Director, who explained academic rules and expectations. The Student Services and Visa Services teams also presented the wide range of resources available to students, emphasizing essential support like visa extensions for international students. These efforts helped reassure newcomers and empowered them to navigate life in Thailand with greater confidence.

To break the ice, students joined fun, interactive games that encouraged them to share their interests while learning more about one another and Raffles. These exciting activities not only helped ease first-day nerves but also sparked new friendships. Winners of the challenges received playful prizes like water guns and a cooling tumbler, the perfect gifts for the Songkran season.

The day concluded with a lively pizza party, giving students more time to connect and celebrate the beginning of their Raffles journey. It was a heartfelt way to thank them for trusting Raffles International College with their future and to remind them that they are now part of the Raffles family. With this strong start, Raffles looks forward to guiding every student toward the dreams they aspire to achieve.
