Textile Artists Inspire Fashion Design at Raffles
On February 5th, 2026, Fashion Design students at Raffles International College had an opportunity to welcome two experienced textile artists, Iris Gowen and Bernard Parker. Both artists visited the campus to share their creative journeys and talk about the unique techniques behind their work.
The session began with introductions, followed by a showcase of their actual textile pieces. Students were able to see and feel artworks firsthand, and the artists then explained the concepts and processes that shaped each design. This direct interaction, coupled with students’ deeper understanding of how ideas evolve into finished creations, offers valuable learning opportunities.
Beyond technical skills, Iris and Bernard emphasized the importance of inspiration, experimentation, and storytelling in fashion design. Their insights encouraged students to think more broadly about design, not only as clothing but as a form of artistic expression.
This event reflects the dynamic and exceptional learning environment at Raffles. By connecting students with practicing artists, we ensure that fashion design education goes beyond textbooks, bringing real-world creativity into the classroom.
Raffles Inspiring Visit to Sarasas Witaed Suksa School
On February 18, 2026, Raffles International College had the honor of visiting Sarasas Witaed Suksa School for a special educational session. They discovered how these programmes prepare them for successful careers. To make the experience more engaging, we also presented a video showcasing the unique features of our courses.
The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and we truly appreciated the interest shown by the students of Sarasas Witaed Suksa School. Many were curious to know more about our effective curriculum and practical approach to education. It was inspiring to see their excitement as they discovered new possibilities for their future studies.
We sincerely thank Sarasas Witaed Suksa School for inviting us to share this experience. Raffles International College looks forward to meeting these students again, this time at our campus. We hope to see you soon at Raffles.
