Reimagine Retail Spaces with Raffles Interior Design Students
Last March, Raffles International College’s interior design students undertook an exciting simulation project: Designing the Interior of a Retail Store, for an established worldwide brand. But they didn’t just recreate the store; they had to reimagine and rebrand it, developing a fresh concept that could take the brand in a new direction.
At the outset, students explored the brand’s history to ensure that their new design reflected its identity. They then brought their concepts to life through 3D drawings, full floor layouts, and mock-ups. This hands-on experience enhanced their understanding of the whole shop design process, from concept to presentation.
Throughout the project, our lecturers and industry experts provided valuable feedback, helping students refine their ideas and improve their skills. This learning opportunity pushed them to think beyond aesthetics and focus on strategy.
