Cutting-Edge Pop-Up Store Design by Interior Design Students
Raffles is thrilled to showcase an incredible project by our talented interior design students! Under the expert guidance of Ms. Lonsai Kangkhao, our Creativity & Concept Development class took on a unique challenge: designing pop-up stores for Thai food. This innovative project allowed students to unleash their creativity while gaining valuable, real-world experience in interior design.
One of the most exciting aspects of this project was the challenge for each group to design a unique pop-up store, showcasing a variety of authentic Thai dishes. This meant they had to be very creative, adding fun and energy to their store ideas. Ensuring that their designs matched the cuisine they chose to sell was key. For example, some groups designed stores based on Thai tea, while others focused on Kanom Krok, which is a well-loved Thai dessert.
To make their ideas real, students built small models and made pictures showing what their pop-up stores would look like. These models and pictures were then shown to Ms. Lonsai, who gave them helpful comments. This feedback will help students get better and prepare for future projects. Such activities are integral to our effective curriculum and demonstrate our commitment to providing a world-class education.
This project allowed students to showcase their creativity while gaining hands-on experience in designing real-world business spaces. Raffles International College is incredibly proud of their dedication and innovation, and we’re excited to see how they continue to excel and evolve as future designers.
