Raffles Celebrates Graduates at the 8th Convocation Ceremony
On July 26, Raffles had the honor of hosting a significant event, “the groundbreaking ceremony,” for a new building that is part of the Raffles Group. This event was the beginning of a new chapter in the Raffles community, highlighting our ongoing commitment to growth and excellence in providing a world-class education.
The ceremony was graced by the presence of Mr. Chew Han Qiang, Chairman of the College Council, who expressed his excitement for the new development. Representatives from Teka Construction, the company responsible for building the new facility, also attended the event, showcasing their support and dedication to the project. The new facility will provide a new learning environment to enhance the educational experience.
Though the new building will serve as a sibling institution within the Raffles Group, its construction symbolizes the unity and shared vision of all Raffles entities. FMM Fashion Show: “Alleyway Aura” by Raffles Students
Raffles International College recently held an exciting FMM fashion show called “Alleyway Aura,” organized by students from our Fashion Marketing and Management (FMM) programme. This event provided a unique platform for our students to showcase their talents and gain valuable hands-on experience in the fashion industry.
The fashion show featured six talented designers, including two from Myanmar, Sisburma and Classy Dock, as well as four designers from Raffles International College. The event also included performances by the BUIDC Dancing Club and Htet Thiri, Myanmar’s rising star. This diverse lineup highlighted the creativity and hard work of our students and collaborators.
By joining our FMM programme, students have the opportunity to participate in events like Alleyway Aura. They learn about various aspects of the fashion industry, such as advertising, designer selection, location scouting, and event management. These learning opportunities help our students develop practical skills and industry knowledge, preparing them for successful careers in fashion marketing and management.
