New Zealand Delegation Visits Raffles International College
On Wednesday, October 9, 2024, Raffles International College welcomed a special delegation from New Zealand. The visit was led by Nathan Rahui, Deputy Vice-Chancellor Māori at the University of Waikato, along with other representatives. The purpose of their visit was to explore potential collaborations with Raffles, particularly in the field of fashion design.
The meeting, held in the presence of our FMM Programme Director, Mike Vancoillie, and Fashion Programme Director, Miriam Varghese, allowed us to showcase the unique fashion programmes at Raffles. During the discussion, our team introduced the delegation to stunning student fashion collections, highlighting the creativity and innovation fostered at our college through our international environment. Ideas for collaboration were exchanged, opening doors to exciting opportunities.
Following the event, the New Zealand guests enjoyed a campus tour. They visited our state-of-the-art facilities, which of course, they found very impressive. This tour allowed them to see at firsthand the resources and environment our students benefit from, illustrating our commitment to providing a world-class education. It sparked interest in how both institutions can collaborate to enhance educational experiences and cultural exchange for students.
The visit was a fruitful exchange of ideas and has set the stage for potential partnerships between Raffles and the University of Waikato. We look forward to developing meaningful connections and are excited about the possibilities this collaboration could bring to our students and faculty.
Raffles Joins the eis University Fair
On October 15, 2024, Raffles International College had the pleasure of joining the lively university fair at Ekamai International School (EIS). The event was a wonderful opportunity to meet many EIS students. Our friendly staff was always ready to answer any questions. We provided detailed information about our courses, admission requirements, and more. As a special treat, we handed out some giveaways and snacks to those who visited us, which everyone enjoyed.
The university fair was a big success, thanks to the excellent organization and the enthusiastic students who attended. We’re grateful for this chance to connect with future students and are excited to welcome them to Raffles International College in the future.
Success Stories! “Best in Healthcare Design” Awarded
We are excited to share the fantastic achievement of our interior design student, Nan Htet Htet Aye Mon. She won the “Best in Healthcare Design” award, which was presented by the Society of Interior Designers in Singapore.
Her winning project, a Maternal Healthcare Center, impressed judges with its innovative design and thoughtful integration of functionality and aesthetics. This fascinating project exemplifies the creativity fostered at our college. This recognition reflects her dedication and passion for creating spaces that can positively impact people’s lives, demonstrating her vision and the world-class education she received.
She attributes her success to the strong curriculum she received at Raffles. She is especially grateful to Mr. Wynn A. Bay, the Programme Director of Interior Design, who provided invaluable guidance and encouragement. His mentorship played a crucial role in her development as a talented interior designer, helping her realize her potential and achieve this remarkable milestone.
